Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased around 0.7% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 932,070 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 44,085 megawatt-hours at 5 p.m. local time (1400 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 30,912 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 928,584 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a fall of about 0.7% compared to Wednesday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants accounted for 21.1% of total generation, while imported coal and hydroelectricity plants contributed 20.6% and 13.9%, respectively.
On Thursday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 7,814 megawatt-hours, and imports totaled 11,979 megawatt-hours.
