Daily electricity consumption in T眉rkiye increased by 0.59% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 999,376 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 48,144 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 32,816 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 999,837 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a rise of 0.59% compared to Wednesday.
Electricity production from hydroelectricity plants constituted 25% of total generation, while imported coal and natural gas plants contributed 21.3% and 19.3%, respectively.
On Thursday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 6,621 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 6,312 megawatt-hours.
