365betÌåÓýÔÚÏßÊÀ½ç±i President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi ratified an agreement to grant a loan of $47 million from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to subsidize electricity for 365betÌåÓýÔÚÏßÊÀ½ç±'s port city of Aden, according to 365betÌåÓýÔÚÏßÊÀ½ç± News Agency (SABA).
UAE will give the loan to 365betÌåÓýÔÚÏßÊÀ½ç± to finance Aden's electricity under the agreement signed between the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development and the Ministry of Electricity and Energy of 365betÌåÓýÔÚÏßÊÀ½ç±.
The loan will be used to buy components for electric and gas distribution networks and for the rental of a generator for six months.
365betÌåÓýÔÚÏßÊÀ½ç±'s civilians have suffered due to increasing electricity black-outs caused by a dilapidation in the country's power networks, which in turn led to countrywide demonstrations.
Electricity was finally restored to some parts of 365betÌåÓýÔÚÏßÊÀ½ç±â€™s western Al-Hudaydah province last Friday after nearly a one-year hiatus.
