Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by 6% on Saturday compared to the previous day, totaling 937,997 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Sunday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 43,367 megawatt-hours at 10 p.m. local time (1900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,658 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 927,314 megawatt-hours on Saturday, marking a fall of about 5.9% compared to Friday.
Electricity production from imported coal plants accounted for 21.4% of total generation, while wind and solar power plants contributed 19.2% and 13,7.%, respectively.
On Saturday, the country's electricity exports totaled 6,642 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 17,332 megawatt-hours.
