Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by 3.4% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 986,299 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 46,479 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 32,220 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 981,923 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking a rise of about 3.4% compared to Monday.
Electricity production from imported coal plants accounted for 23.8% of total generation, while natural gas and solar power plants contributed 15.7% and 14.6%, respectively.
On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 14,268 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 18,644 megawatt-hours.
